Over 7 days, you'll learn the art of sculpting, in an intensive workshop that offers students instruction in the rudiments of drawing and modelling the figure, as well as learning how to make a plaster waste mould and cement fondu cast of the figure. Heavy emphasis will be on the observation of the human form. Whether you are just taking the first steps or an experienced artist, this course is designed to enhance your skills and creativity.

About Tim Shaw
Tim Shaw has executed a number of major commissions, including The Minotaur for the Royal Opera House, London; The Rites of Dionysus for the Eden Project, Cornwall; The Green Man for Antony House, Plymouth; and The Drummer for the central square of Truro, Cornwall. In addition, Shaw has presented numerous exhibitions throughout the UK and Europe.
He won the prestigious Jack Goldhill Award for Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Arts London Summer Exhibition in 2015 - after being elected to the RA in 2013, the Mullan Prize at the Royal Ulster Academy, and a Kenneth Armitage Foundation Fellowship.
Tim lives at Higher Spargo where he has had his home and studios for over 30 years.
